According to Google crowdfunding is the following - The practice of funding a project or venture by raising many small amounts of money from a large number of people, typically via the Internet.

Every month I will be searching the net for my favorite crowdfunding projects using sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo and posting them here.
Ever since reading about Kickstarter my curiosity has grown massively about this brilliant financing tool and I even set up my own project on Indiegogo. There are so many projects to chose from, where to start, so the purpose of this blog is to give you a few suggestions every month.

Every month I will also pick one special project, what makes this project special is that it will always be a project financing animal medical bills or animal welfare programs. The reason for this is that I'm an animal lover and the welfare and protection of animals means a lot to me.

The story:
Jake the dog was rescued from Richardson Animal Shelter in July 2013. Unfortunately, Jake has been experiencing some vision issues and is now in need of surgery. Jake has fallen victim to a loose lens in his right eye and needs his lens removed in hopes of retaining his vision. Jake has a high chance of being affected by glaucoma and eventual blindness but this surgery gives him a chance to see another day.
